I am a doctoral student at the Academia Copernicana Interdisciplinary Doctoral School at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and a member of the HumEco research team led by Prof. Adam Izdebski at the Interdisciplinary Center for Modern Technologies. During my bachelor’s and master’s studies in biotechnology, I worked at the Ancient DNA Laboratory at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where I contributed to the optimization of laboratory protocols and conducted metagenomic research.

My doctoral thesis focuses on the regional genetic heritage of Toruń and its hinterlands, combining ancient DNA analysis with isotopic studies and pathogen identification. It integrates methods from molecular biology, bioinformatics, and bioarchaeology, aiming to reconstruct the population structure and health conditions of past inhabitants of the region.

As part of the ERC Synergy EUROpest project, I contribute to the development of its bioarchaeological component, including the identification of sepulchral sites and the coordination of collaboration with Polish research institutions, supporting the development of interdisciplinary and international scientific cooperation.
